Row 8: Work the same as Row 2. Continue increasing in the same manner every knit row at the four raglans (at each side of the knit 3 panels) until work measures 4 inches along the raglan panel. (For the one year size, make the raglan 4 1/2 inches).

On the next row, work across the front section (including 2 stitches of the first 3-stitch raglan panel), slip the stitches for the sleeve off on a thread (including 1 stitch of the first raglan panel and one stitch of the second raglan panel), join the front and the back at the underarm and work across the back (including 2 stitches of the second raglan panel and 2 stitches of the third raglan panel), slip the stitches for the second sleeve off on a thread, join the front and the back at the underarm and work across the front section.

Keep 11 stitches at each end of the needle in moss stitch as before and continue in stockinette stitch on the remaining stitches for 4 ½ inches (for the one year size, 5 ½ inches). Decrease 1 stitch if necessary so that there is an uneven number. Now work in moss stitch completely across the needle for 1 ½ inches. Bind off loosely.

Slip the stitches for one sleeve on three of the double pointed needles, dividing the stitches as evenly as possible. Starting at center underarm, pick up one extra stitch in space here. Knit round and round for 3 ½ inches (for the one year size, 4 ½ inches). Decrease 1 stitch if necessary so there is an uneven number, then keep the center 7 stitches on the second needle in moss stitch, that is, the 7 stitches directly below the shoulder line, for 1 ¼ inches. Now work all the stitches in moss stitch for ¾ inch. Bind off loosely.

Work 1 row of double crochet around the neck edge then work 1 row of picot crochet as follows: make a single crochet in first stitch, *chain 3, make a single crochet in the next stitch and repeat from * across the row. Make a twisted cord to run through this beading or use a ribbon to tie.
