Wooden Beverage Tray Project

The beverage tray, accommodating glasses, involves a little more work than some of the other jig saw projects, but every bit of work will be well repaid through the long service of this tray.
The design for the end is shown on graph squares and should be enlarged on half-inch squares to gain a half pattern. Transfer the pattern in the usual way to 1/4″ plywood. Plywood is essential for this project because of its strength.

At this time also make full-size patterns of the handle and the stretcher. One handle is required, whereas two stretchers must be made identical in size and shape. Both of these patterns should be enlarged on 1/2″ squares.

Notice that two bottom panels are required. The upper one has six holes 2 1/2″ in diameter bored for glasses. The lower is solid. The accompanying working drawing shows the layout of one-half of the upper base with the holes in the proper location.
